Mount Karkom is the southern most mountain of Negev Highland that ends abruptly in the biblical  Faran desert. Its height is moderate and the peak reaches hardly 842m .

Mount Karkom is not  outstanding among the mountains region. It  has a flat , table like,  top and looks as a sleeping leopard and not  ravishing  as its holiness required. The dry desert around exposes the visitor to the torching sun that no one can hide from. The arid surroundings creates an environment that you can see and feel  the godly powers. The holiness of Mount Karkom is felt everywhere it was used as holy pilgrimage site and contains 40,000 engraving spanning 5,000 years of history.
